<g:title>ICHI BONS/MAMORU BANZAI 7" bundle POSTPAID</g:title>
<g:description>Two killer, and very limited, new platters from Toronto's finest. Please note that this price INCLUDES POSTAGE (except Australia/Japan) and is in CANADIAN DOLLARS, not US (that means it's a lot cheaper). Records will ship as soon as Banzai records arrive, around mid May. If your country isn't here, just message us.

ICHI-BONS - Little Lil b/w The Witch 45
Very pleased to announce our second single from the finest group playing in Toronto today, the mighty Ichi-Bons. Tearing it up on two potent slabs of their patented Desperate Rock'n'Roll, Ichi-Bons are joined here by sax savage Spencer Evoy for maximum blaze. Topside's a delicious, delirious take on an obscure '59 rocker, while anybody with an ear for this music will recognise the flip's all-time Sonics scorcher.
One-time only pressing of 400. (UGLY POP UP085)

MAMORU BANZAI - Strollin' at Dawn EP
Japanese guitarist Mamoru Banzai has been wowing audiences for years now as a member of the Ichi-Bons, whose high-energy garage/rockabilly bop has taken them around the world and made for an impressive run of essential 45s. There's another, equally impressive, side to Banzai, though, and that's what is showcased here on his debut solo record. Drawing on rock'n'roll, blues, rockabilly, and western soundtracks, these three instrumentals, all written for films, are at once twangy, soulful, and cinematic, landing somewhere between Ennio Morricone and Link Wray. Limited pressing of 200 in pocket sleeve. (UGLY POP UP088)</g:description>

      <g:title>CULT CRIME - Cult Crime 12"</g:title>
<g:description>First footlong from this new Toronto group, featuring nine cuts of snarling, hard-nosed punk that recalls 1981 hardcore on both sides of the Atlantic, seasoning classic LA a la Adolescents/TSOL/pre-Henry Flag with a dash of primo Blitz. No mere genre exercise, these are tough but memorable songs delivered with hooks and skill. Red vinyl repress of 300 with insert. (UGLY POP UP079)</g:description>

<g:description>Basic package: four new Ugly Pop and AND 12" titles for one lower price. Add any other titles to save even more on postage. Will begin shipping week of May 18!

V/A - Left Without Much Fuss LP
A record for punks who collect records. Ultimately a tribute to punk rock, this record was compiled to mark forty years since I first discovered the music in 1985, and fifty years since it all really began with the first Ramones album in 1976. Thirteen classic punk/hardcore/garage songs covered by old friends and Ugly Pop groups, all from the Toronto/Hamilton area. Including a huge booklet and additional insert packed full of punk obsessive stuff, it's a pretty ridiculous labour of love made for anyone who loves punk rock, punk culture, punk history, and punk records.
Features Golden Shitters, Cult Crime, Drift Current, Street Code, Early Tombs, Thee Rogue Telstars, Ichi Bons, David Quinton & Back to Basics, The Vapids, and Last Drag. (UGLY POP UP082)

CALAMITY - Calamity LP
Rock'n'roll from Hamilton, Ontario has a certain feel that sets it apart, something that reflects the city's unpretentious industrial roots. Think Teenage Head, whose music, for all its fire and energy, betrayed a soul and craftmanship a million years from the posing and deliberate amateurism of their '70s punk contemporaries. Fast forward to 22026, and that spirit permeates the debut album from Calamity: while the quality of playing and composition recalls classic hard rock a la primo AC/DC and Thin Lizzy, the roughness and energy of delivery is pure and undiluted, giving this a feel remarkably similar to modern Australian groups like Civic, Split System, and Judges. And yeah, it's that good. (AND LAGER001)

ZERO BARS - Zero Bars 12"
Zero Bars have been playing around Toronto for a couple years now, refining their attack into the potent set documented on a pair of demo tapes. The sound is raw, tough, and impassioned, drawing on early American hardcore and unafraid of genre-blurring post-punk curveballs, recalling the likes of Really Red or the Proletariat. This is punk rock with brains alongside the brawn, its smart, critical lyrics very much of our age.
'Zero Bars' is the group's first vinyl, collecting both demos and a new track on a high-quality 12" pressing, cut hot and pressed on 45. On Hamilton's new AND Records imprint in conjunction with Ugly Pop. (LAGER 002/UP083)

EYE BALL - Gull Songs 12"
What came first, the gull or the eggpunk? Originally released on cassette, 'Gull Songs' serves to introduce the wider world to a group that have recently turned a lot of local heads. Featuring twelve cuts of razor-sharp, hyperactively melodic punk blitz, it's packed full of frantic melodies, big hooks, and lyrical wit at high volume. Distinct and endlessly listenable, this is a fine debut. On Hamilton's new AND Records imprint in conjunction with Ugly Pop.

      <g:title>V/A - Hipsville 2026 AD LP and TERRIBLE THREES 45 bundle</g:title>
<g:description>ONE GREAT LP AND ONE AWFUL 45 FOR ONE DECENT PRICE!

THEE TERRIBLE THREES - Matter of Time b/w 69 45
Toronto's most hated garage punk group THEE TERRIBLE THREES emerge from the trash can to deliver two slices of primo budget rock trash! Topside delivers an organ-drenched, fuzz'd out driver with nods to the Haunted and Link Wray, while the flip captures the trio ripping through an inept rendition of the '66 Memphis punker by a group known only as The 4. Recorded on a budget of $69 (beer included), and limited to a mere 200 copies, this slab is guaranteed to ruin your hi-fi and lower the value of your record collection! (CRASH 'N' BURN CNB 001/UGLY POP UP086)

V/A - Hipsville 2026 A.D. LP (CNB 002)
12 Wyld Groups from thee Northern Underground! Showcasing some of the top talent to come out of the Toronto scene, from Back From the Grave garage rock to rarin' rockabilly, fuzz'd rite surf, and catchy power-pop. Based around Toronto's 'Welcome to Hipsville' sockhop series, this comp features such local fave raves as Ichi-Bons, Kewpie Dolls, Slow Drags, CATL, and Fuzz Vultures, as well as a choice selection of groups that have travelled to Hipsville, like Bloodshot Bill (Montreal), the Dracu-Las (Jersey City), and the Out-Sect (Philly). (CRASH 'N' BURN CNB 002/UGLY POP UP087)

      <g:title> THE PROLES - “Kings Road Tapes 1979” 12” mini-LP</g:title>
      <g:description>Released by Nausea Records 2024

Legendary London Punk Rock formed in 1978 in Raynes Park featuring Dave “Fergie” Fergusson on vocals after he met Lol, John and Dave in a Punishment of Luxury gig at the London Marquee.
Oy! Oy! Oy! was written by John in mid-78. It was their first song. The first line of the lyrics was taken from kids TV show 'Rainbow'! Were they the first Oy! band???
After various rehearsals at Dave’ s attic bedroom they managed to get their first gig at a youth club called “The Link” in Wimbledon
The first demo was recorded in a cheap studio in April 1979 and it almost secured them a deal with Chiswick Records but unfortunately the band split up later that year

The mini Lp features the whole 1979 4-track Demo plus previously unreleased rehearsal and live recordings. Total of 9 tracks of pure snotty punk rock like it is supposed to be done!
Mastering and tape restoration by the top mastering wizard Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory
